As members of the Unmanned Aircraft Association of Ireland, we promote the safe and legal use of drones in Ireland. We commit to flying our aircraft in a manner which promotes the positive impact these aircraft can have, whilst flying them legally and safely. We will work to communicate this message to the wider drone community and the general public.
JEDA European Membership
24/11/2021
UAAI Joins the Joint European Drone Associations.
In a move that consolidates our standing within the European Drone sector,
The UAAI have officially teamed up with our European Counterparts to help create the Joint European Drone Associations (JEDA)
Announced today at the European Drone Forum in Cologne, JEDA is a body that will represent all the stakeholders in the European Drone sector, whether professional or private.
One of the main aims of JEDA will be to help speed up approval and rollout of a vast range of UAV business across member states in Europe and to help shape the regulations and rules that we are governed by.
JEDA will also help to promote the interests of all stakeholders including Operations, Manufacturing, Research, Development of all unmanned aircraft and systems in Europe.
Our Chair Julie has worked relentlessly to help this come to fruition, a long process but eventually succeeded in getting it across the line.
With members based in Albania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, Bulgaria, Spain, Belgium, Estonia, France, Greece, Switzerland, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Ireland, and Germany, it is a great opportunity for the Irish Drone Industry to reach out to our European neighbours to gain insight into their regulatory and industry approaches and to hopefully make our future better, safer and more rewarding for all concerned.
